Lidia Chiarelli:
Girls' Carousel (Digital Art)
A
carousel spins, bathed in soft golden hues, where childhood
should linger in endless laughter. Girls in delicate dresses clutch the painted horses, their innocence whirling in a moment of fleeting joy. Yet beyond the vibrant lights, a silent question
lingers—will they ride free, or will the world pull them down too soon?
The carousel, a symbol of carefree youth, becomes a haunting reflection of fate for many girls whose lives are dictated before they can dream. The motion blurs the line between play and
destiny, reminding us that childhood should never be a fleeting ride—it should be a right, protected and unbroken.
This artwork stands as a powerful call against child marriage, urging us to let every girl remain in the sanctuary of her youth, unbound by the weight of a stolen future.
